"By making small changes, we can all make a big impact"
We are using our voice and place in the market to help create change.
As a business we have implemented many changes to help reduce plastic use in wrapping, lower our carbon footprint by using specialist art couriers, work with family framing businesses who use conservation framing for our inhouse artworks, and we give back by planting trees worldwide.
One Tree Planted
We work with amazing reforestation partners in North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia to get more trees in the ground. These projects help restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitats for biodiversity.
By purchasing from Driftwood Contemporary, be it in our galleries based in Padstow and St Ives or online you are helping as we plant a tree for every product sold.
We have handpicked our framers as they have the same ethos as us, they are also second to none when it comes to the attention to detail. As the frames are all bespoke, we have complete faith in the quality and the sustainability for this service along with the knowledge these are conservation frames.
To reduce our carbon footprint, we have taken the decision to work with bespoke art courier companies, again these are family businesses which we have hand selected. This service does cost us more as a business however by making this change, this has a dramatic impact with reducing our carbon footprint. So instead of your artwork going through many hands you can rest assured when this is collected from us it comes directly to you.
